Operations Electrical Foreman

The Operations Electrical Foreman's primary responsibility is to lead the installation team in re-powering work at MCB Camp Lejeune and maximize the performance of the solar facilities across hep Petra’s operational portfolio, analyzing data from the solar facilities to identify under performance and propose corrections or improvements to system operation.

• Responsible for electrical, telecommunication, and mechanical maintenance activities, including testing and repair of all major components and balance-of-system.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and installation to maximize production.
• Respond to and evaluate system alarms, emergencies, and irregularities, taking corrective action as provided in established guidelines and in accordance with safety practices.
• Monitor the quality and accuracy of communications systems and real-time telemetered generation data, and appropriately respond to errors in data flow and alarms.
• Coordinate the startup of new monitoring systems with the construction team, software vendors and on-site contractors.
• Report performance information to asset managers and system owners.
• Conduct analysis of solar facility data.

• Ability to demonstrate basic working knowledge of electrical theory & PV power generating system fundamentals.
• Aptitude for understanding the operation of various testing equipment, tools, and procedures utilized in the maintenance of PV power generation systems.
• General computer, network, and technology proficiency.
• Proficiency reading technical specification documents, site plans, & electrical schematics.
• Ability to collaborate and coordinate well with peer Technicians and other personnel, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications to include but not limited to MS Word and Excel, as well as an ability to learn new computer programs without difficulty.

• Certified electrician – Journeyman required, License preferred.
• Minimum of a 2-year degree in engineering, computer science or data analytics (preferred).

This job is a field-based role that operates on solar sites in remote locations. There will be times of moderate noise. This role is subject to field conditions such as weather, including heat, cold, and rain.
